Royal Results will be hosting a Finish Lynx (timing system) clinic, January 19th at Royal High School.� Very often we receive inquires regarding the Finish Lynx timing system and its use. We decided this would be a great way to satisfy this need. If used properly, the Finish Lynx automatic timing system will make your meets run more efficiently using fewer volunteers and provide accurate results in a timely manner.� There are a number of high schools and youth track teams that either have a system or are thinking of purchasing a Lynx system. For those who already have this system, this clinic will give you a much better understanding of how to use it and learn what it can do. For those who have not yet made the purchase commitment, this clinic will help you decide if the investment is right for your organization.

 

This clinic will be designed to accomplish the following.�

  • Minimum equipment requirements
  • Installing the software
  • Appropriate computer and network settings
  • Setting up the camera
  • Aligning the camera
  • Basic Camera settings/adjustments
  • Connecting a display to show a running/winning time.
  • Capturing the finish of a race
  • Applying times
  • Printing results

 

After attending this Lynx Clinic, you will be able to set up the timing/camera system
and time a track meet with a running display. This clinic will not cover the use of
meet management software (Hy-Tek), however the interface between the two
applications will be shown and discussed.
